A bad credit score is typically considered to be below 580 on the FICO scale. Scores in this range can make it difficult to qualify for credit products, and if you do qualify, you’ll likely face higher interest rates and less favorable terms. This is because lenders see you as a high-risk borrower, possibly due to past credit issues like late payments, defaults, or high credit utilization.
